Bring Minyo Back! is about Minyo starring the band Minyo Crusaders. Minyo is traditional
Japanese folklore music, a genre at risk of extinction. For many Japanese, Minyo in considered “lost music”.

The Minyo Crusaders are a Tokyo-based band who mix Minyo from all over Japan with Latin and Afro flavours into unique arrangements, seeking to bring the genre back from oblivion. Minyo Crusaders appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert played and played at Lowlands last year. This is their story.
