IN-EDIT is on the look out for a…

Location Manager, Information Desk & Merchandise, Social Media Reporter, and All Around Multitasker!

IN-EDIT is back! The next festival edition will be taking place from the 2nd to the 6th of June 2021. Every year, this music documentary film festival shows a selection of new international and Dutch music documentaries, combining them in a program with live performances by matching musicians, Q&A’s with artists and directors, and industry meetings arranged for and by professionals. For this next edition, we will be integrating some online elements in order to engage with our remote audience. And for the first time it will be held at 3 different locations across Amsterdam! Namely Het Ketelhuis (Westerpark), de Melkweg (Centrum) and FC Hyena (Noord).

Volunteers are invaluable for IN-EDIT. Without them, the festival won’t be able to take place.

Do you want to share your experience, knowledge, but most of all your enthusiasm for film and music? Become a part of the only international music documentary festival in the Netherlands by filling out this form!

During IN-EDIT we will be needing volunteers for a lot of different tasks. We are not only trying to bring you a great event, but also grow a family full of passionate people who want to make IN-EDIT a success! This means we will need volunteers before and during the festival, depending on your function.

Location Manager

As the location manager you will be the most direct line of communication between the venue and the festival. You will be our eyes and ears at the location and will be responsible for overseeing the schedule and making sure everything goes as smoothly as can be!

Information desk & merchandise

At the merchandise and information desk you will provide guests with all the information about the festival itself and have an arsenal of goodies from IN-EDIT for sale. If you’re a people-person and like to be in the festival vibe at all times this role is cut out for you!

As somebody who can multitask, you will fill in the gaps where needed or run errands. This is probably the most surprising function, as you will never know what to expect. Considering the restrictions regarding Covid-19 you will keep an eye out at all times that everyone adheres to these rules.

Social media reporter

During the festival we want to stay as up to date as possible! That’s why we need some online savvy minded people supporting our online team. Are you good with writing copy or taking pictures? And do you know how Instagram and Twitter work? Get social for us!

What’s in it for you?

As an IN-EDIT volunteer you’ll find yourself in the right place to expand your network in the film, music and festival industry and to add extra work experience to your résumé. But most importantly: as a volunteer you will have a great time!

Also, you will benefit from the following extra’s:
• An IN-EDIT festival T-shirt and poster
• The possibility to watch our festival films for free
• Lunch or dinner when you are working a shift of 8 hours
• Volunteer afterparty

If you are able to help us out with any of the above mentioned roles please feel free to fill in the form attached to this application and we’ll get in touch with you as soon as possible!

We need our volunteers to be available three days during 2-6 June 2021. A shift will last between 6-8 hours, depending on the location you are working at and the function you are working in. After applying we’ll call you to discuss what you can do for the festival.

We expect our volunteers to be present at our fantastic volunteer meeting/borrel a week before the festival. Date and time to be agreed upon.

There are some requirements for becoming a volunteer at IN-EDIT. They are described in our Volunteer Policy.

Please note: if you are from outside the EU, you will need a work permit for the Netherlands. Unfortunately, it’s not allowed to do volunteer work on a Student Visa.
