IN-EDIT WANTS YOU!
Volunteers are invaluable for IN-EDIT. Without them, the festival won’t be able to take place. Do you want to share your experience, knowledge, but most of all your enthusiasm for film and music? Become a part of the only international music documentary festival in the Netherlands by filling out this form!
During IN-EDIT we will be needing volunteers for a lot of different tasks. We are not only trying to bring you a great event, but also grow a family full of passionate people who want to make IN-EDIT a success! This means we will need volunteers before and during the festival, depending on your function.
What’s in it for you?
As an IN-EDIT volunteer you’ll find yourself in the right place to expand your network in the film, music and festival industry and to add extra work experience to your résumé. But most importantly: as a volunteer you will have a great time! Also, you will benefit from the following extra’s:
• Free entrance to the film screenings + concerts (when they’re not fully booked + everyone gets two coupons to go to a screening that is fully booked)
• Free entrance to the exclusive festival opening event on Thursday the 4th of April
• An IN-EDIT festival T-shirt
• Volunteer afterparty on Sunday 7th of April
What do we want from you?
We need our volunteers to be available three days during 4-7 April 2019. A shift will last around 8 hours, depending on the location you are working at and the function you are working in. After applying we’ll call you to discuss what you can do for the festival. There are some requirements for becoming a volunteer at IN-EDIT. They are described in our Volunteer Policy.
Please note: if you are from outside the EU, you will need a work permit for the Netherlands. Unfortunately, it’s not allowed to do volunteer work on a Student Visa.
If you have any questions, please send an email to email@example.com.
FUNCTIONS BEFORE THE FESTIVAL
Do you know the best places to hang out in Amsterdam? Are you always aware of what’s going on? Did you spot all the coolest shops, record stores and venues? We need you to spread our word around! We need to bring flyers and hand programs to all those places you know, sign up to give us a hand! This function starts a month before the festival and is very flexible.
Are you a master in WordPress and do you like managing an online platform? Are you fluent in English and Dutch and does no grammar mistake ever escape you? Is ‘visual’ your middle name? Come help out our online team and manage our website together with us! We will need you to translate texts from English to Dutch too. This function can start immediately until the end of the festival. We expect it to take up to 4 hours a week.
FUNCTIONS DURING THE FESTIVAL
Check tickets at screening rooms and look after the auditorium before, during and after a film screening. Make sure the visitors feel welcome and answer any questions they might have. As a screening attendant you might get asked to assist with Q&A’s or the practicalities of a film concert after the screening.
Ticket office & Info desk
At the box office you will sell IN-EDIT tickets. Also, you will swap with the people at the information desk, so you can expect guests to ask questions about the festival.
As somebody who can ‘do it all’ you will fill in the gaps in the schedule, run errands or help with the decoration and construction. This is probably the most surprising function, as you will never know what to expect.
Social media reporter
During the festival we want to stay as up to date as possible! That’s why we need some online savvy minded people supporting our online team. Are you good with writing copy? and do you know how Instagram and Twitter works? Get social for us!
Do you have a car? Do you like to drive through the city? Are you not easily star struck? We need a nice and polite person that will pick up our guests from the airport and bring them to the festival terrain or hotel. This function requires a very flexible availability during the festival days. Sing in to be our first face for our beloved guests!
